MadTown Redesign's primary focus is on serving University Professors in creating, maintaining, and redesigning websites for their academic pursuits. However, we also focus on personalized websites for individuals or groups that desire one with a sort of personal touch, or a small business looking to attract new customers. Our true passion is creating a unique solution to your problem, developing it into a websites or application that not only solves the issue, but looks appealing as well.

Techniques
We pride ourselves in creating websites that not only are pleasing to the eye, but work the way you want them to. By taking the time to understand your business/research, style, and goals, we can create a custom solution to meet whatever needs you have, and some you may have never thought of.
All of our websites pass W3C validation criteria, are user-accessible, modular, and simple. Part of our design style is to keep things simple; large, flashy sites are fun the first few times, but after a while, people just want to find your content. By keeping navigation simple and easy to use, page designs flexible and easy to read, we create a site that can survive the day-to-day style changes that occur because simple and useful never goes out of style.
However, sometimes you require something a bit more flashy to catch users attention and keep them there. For those situations, we provide numerous additional items to help flash up your site.
Dynamic Upgrades
Image Rotator
These are seen on almost every site today; an image rotator that transitions between different images in a box on the homepage in which you can click on them to make them cycle, open an album or gallery and view all the photos, or be taken to the page corresponding to that image. SlideShow Pro is one of the most useful components for doing this and it allows us to create that dynamic item for you, and teach you how to modify the code slightly (it is really easy) so you can keep it updated throughout the year. Businesses and research groups alike love using these for promoting updated content, new products to advertise, or showcase results. It is simple to implement and utilizes flash and javascript coding to provide its functionality.
Rotating Content
Since the homepage is often used to determine how consistent a page is updated, having rotating content on the homepage will make your site look new everytime someone arrives. Utilized with research highlights or product updates, running a small javascript code allows a different string of content to appear each time the page is loaded. Therefore, instead of having to update the homepage every day, you can create a string of content that we implement into the site to rotating on page load.
Photo Albums
If you have a need for displaying photos in an effective manner, we have the tools to make it work. Utilizing flash tools, we can create a rotating photo album that is user-interactive, allowing them to scroll the images and see larger versions of them. These tools can be implemented into a site as a full page item, making it the focus of the page, or something smaller that is meant to enhance the content already there. Either implementation can work, both creating a similar effect; showcasing the photos in a user-friendly and visually appealing manner.
User Interactivity
Many businesses want to get the attention of the customer immediately. One strong way to do this is by having some sort of user interactivity, like a survey or input form, that appears when a new user visits the site. Utilizing programming code and items called "cookies", we can create a virtual log of who has been to your site, providing that user a custom experience when they return, and also provide something to entice the new user that happens to be browsing by.
Analytics
A great website is useful, but being able to track traffic becomes a useful tool. We utilize Google Analytics as a free service to your site to provide the necessary information to analyze traffic to the website. If you prefer a different service, we can utilize a different one at your request. Either way, we provide training on how to use the information, how to implement what it tells you into your site and get the results you want.
